Tomato and cucumber salad



A fresh Egyptian salad that goes great with Middle Eastern food.



Serves: 8
Ingredients

8 large firm tomatoes
6 large cucumbers
1 bermuda onion , chopped (optional)
1 large lemon
White vinegar
Salt

How to make it

1. Chop the tomatoes and cucumbers into bite-sized cubes and put into a medium salad bowl.

2. Add Salt very liberally.

3. Squeeze tin he juice of the whole lemon .

4. Add 2 Tbsp vinegar.

5. Toss the salad and taste.

6. Add more salt and vinegar (and lemon juice) to make your desired taste and tanginess.

7. Onion and or hot peppers can be added to this salad, if you wish.
